You are welcome to post suggestions - and it's very useful helping us determine the direction for Alchemy - but won't be talking much about the specific features that will be included with Alchemy 2 until it's ready for release.
Personally I would love to see FM and especially audio-rate modulation from various different sources - but it's not only my decision, and there are 100's of features competing for space + time Quote: Swap Source.
Yes that is a pretty essential feature, it bugs me that it's not possible yet ... Peace, Andy. |

I'd love to be of help. It's actually been my dream for quite a while to create my own VST. The big idea (which you may have because I love your VST) would be the ability to right click any knob and set locking positions so that you could essentially fine tune the entire patch to the point where no matter what knob you turn, it always remains consonant. It's probably much harder than I think to do, but I really would like that. Especially with high resonance filter cutoffs. It's always bothered me how cool it sounds to move a cutoff frequency from one note to another, but how much automation it takes to do so.... but I digress. Best of luck. ---- ---Hey you--- |

More original filters - Things like variable slope filters would be interesting to have as an alternative to fixed pole filters. I love the immense collection of filters but I dislike that they're mostly modeled on other designs rather than the results of the design teams creativity.
Y'know that source filter trick in the manual to get formant sounds? I love that, but it takes up all my source filters, and sources for that matter. How about incorporating that entire trick into one filter mode and expanding upon it? It would be a CPU beast i'd imagine but far from impossible. |

Source and filter frequency/amplitude modulation, numerical value input, a larger selection of waveforms/wavetables synthesis/etc. Pre-filter fx slots, and parameters as modulation source. That sort of thing would be right up my alley.
Please excuse the multiple posts and repeat suggestions. Getting around the spam filter proved nigh on impossible.. |

The use of MSEG's to make rhythmical patches is very popular in much of today's music / sound design - it often helps do without additional plugins, the host DAW's automation and is great for inspiration.
Whilst it's great that Alchemy has an MSEG option, it's very fiddly. Native Instruments Massive has a brilliant solution to this, with a selection of common curves and slopes you can enter, with a great graphical layout. If I were Camel Audio, I would definitely be adding this functionality asap! Plus, I really want it myself Take a look at this screenshot - you can choose curves from the left, drag them to the slot on the tempo synced envelope and then drag up and down to adjust the size of them.
Peace! |

Hi Sarah, We haven't made a final decision about either of these yet. I would love to see multiple outputs (at least one per source), which would go a long way to providing surround support - but it's not only my decision Peace, Andy. |

Following my post above about implementing something similar to NI Massive's MSGE, I would also like to see an FM8 style arp, which is, IMO, the best in synth arp going |

Easier to use MSEGs are pretty high on my list of priorities too. The current preset system works OK, but could be easier to use so that is also due for an update.
The arp is going to take on a whole new dimension in 2.0. Work is progressing nicely Peace, Andy. |

It's the ability easily select envelope shapes, re-size them and combine them together that makes Massive's MSEG so damn good. Please, please, please completely copy this concept, and ideally, expand on it! |
