lol, they can have mine from my phone for a quid a picture, ill take around a 1000 pics throughout the gig, that will pay for komplete and a holiday away for me.
not promising they will all have heads in any of the pics but hey ho, whaddya want for a quid?

not sure how they can enforce this when everyone there will probably have at least a camera phone, and at least if there are no photographers there i wont keep getting blinded by flashes HiHi

cant believe im the only person going???

Well it's aimed at the pros down the front in the press pit, those actually making money off the pictures.

Can't believe the roses themselves really give a hoot about this kind of thing, just something a manager/lawyer introduced.

effin marvelous!!

i was there sunday, line up was :dirty north: :justice tonight band: :the wailers: :planb: and of course :the stone roses:

dirty north, only caught the end, bit ska indie rock type stuff, not too bad, but cant comment much as i didnt really see them.

the justice tonight band was a treat, guy from the fal with mick jones from the clash, plus a plethora of other singesr guesting on tracks, john power, john robb, geezer from the reverend and the makers and a couple of oters who i cant remember at the min. did the two big fall hits "all together now" and "groovey train", while the fall where never my fave band of that era, with 70000 (?) people singing along those two tracks did work hehe
they also did a load of clash songs, now the clash, i do like a lot!! so that was an unexpected treat. all the classic hits and a couple of the lesser known bits. "clampdown" and "bankrobber" being two highlights for me!!

the wailers : need i say anything? ok, no bob marley, but still great to watch!! again all teh classic hits! "no woman, no cry" Crying or Very sad it was just beautiful!!

plan b: wow! cant say i ecpected a great deal, ive heard a few tracks, but never took that much notice, but this guy puts on a f**king good show!!
had a guy come on "faith estevan" to do some beatboxing, the guy was doing awesome dubstep style basses and beats, putting many of the sound designers here to shame! sereiously check this guys beatboxing out, massive! as they say HiHi
recognised more songs than i thought i would, few covers too, "stand by me" but in his own style.
well worth trying to find his set on youtube maybe, highly recommended as a live act Smile

the stone roses
well, im looking forward to the obvious dvd release of the gig, john squire still sunds lush! ian brown is a monkey, renni is a drum machine and manni is a f**king dude, played virtually every track, ok two albums and a few 12s isnt much to choose from maybe, but each and every track is worth listening to, very little filler materail in their output.
again 70000 people singing along to stuff like "made of stone" or "i am the rssurection" awesome.
"fools gold" was a full length jam session, no cutting it short and doing the single version.

very muddy after two days of people dancing and walking round the park, woke up on sunday morning to rain, thinking oh shit im gonna drown in mud!
but not a drop of rain felll while we where in there, in fact the sun even shone for a little while.
all in all an awesome show, glad i didnt miss out Very Happy

if you get the chance to see em over the coming months, take it! you will not be dissapointed Very Happy

Think I do too. Glad I wasn't there.
The roses will always be the Beatles of my generation.
And the mondays will always be the Stones.

Glad I never saw any of them.
I let the image live on in my mind.

I'm still waiting for some other band to come along after the day the music died.

Great review vurt. Thanks. Crying or Very sad

I was thinking that, though quite like the idea of Mark E Smith ranting at 70000 people. Very Happy

Cheers Vurt, sounds like it was a good night.
