If you're down for a long sludgy atmospheric ambient dirge you've come to the right place. I accidentally recorded my click track, a simple drum loop, along with the piano... it was a long live take so I decided to just leave it. There's some fairly obscene distortion at the end. You could save a fortune on the likes of SD2.0. I don't know why I didn't think of using the click track I just turned this one up loud and used it as foreground music. I loved the panned whispering one here. The whole thing was quite atmospheric and hypnotic. Nice work, Matt |

Thanks Tim - you're intrepid! I think the reason I moved to a drum click track is that I couldn't control the volume of Live's click and found it annoyingly loud. My template includes an instance of Stylus RMX playing that basic beat. Sometimes I throw it in the final mix just cause things bounce off it so well and it can glue a rhythm track together. |

aah...just what i needed after a day filling in forms..
such a soothing piece of music. i tried Tim's method and turned it right up - the louder it gets the more relaxing the effect. the whispering is a nice touch. it gives the feeling that we are privy to something that others are oblivious to. great work Matt. neil. |

Yes, very laid back and relaxing. Strange juxtaposition...I was looking at Ghost Adventures pictures while listening to some of this and they really fit. ---- "Be excellent to each other." Very nice, a great blend of sounds going on there. Is it a dot-matrix printer I can hear in the background? Never thought of that as a musical sound, but whatever it was it works here |

Awesome, thank you. kryptonaut wrote: Very nice, a great blend of sounds going on there. Is it a dot-matrix printer I can hear in the background? Never thought of that as a musical sound, but whatever it was it works here
Not a printer, but that's funny as someone else asked me that same question on another track a while ago... there must be something I like about that sound. |

This piece contrasts nicely against your 'Our Weightless Past' track. Lots of unexpected sounds that still sit together perfectly, where as the other track is a bit "safe" for my taste (not a bad thing, just a matter of preference).
Excellent work, as always. Thanks friend. |
