I have been interested in RG for a while but the way it handles chords keeps me from buying, it would be great if it had chord detection so you could use any fingered chords. Right now being limited to minor/major chords is a bit too limited for me. Any chance of this being resolved? If I knew it was coming I would jump on board as RG is really fun to play with (from what I remember of my timed-out demo). |

Hi there
That is a possible expansion, though we haven't immediate plans for that at the moment. Cheers Jon : RPCX |

Hi,
The concept of RG is very different from the other products mentioned. With the 'muted'guitar sound and 'power chord' sounds. Chords are no subject. The other sounds are chords and have the limit of 'minor7'and 'major'for the electric guitar and 'minor' and 'major'for the steel string. If you want 'all chords' available....then you need a total different system. Not to mention that you can play a 'chord' on several positions on a guitar. You can also play C-E-G for a Cmajor cord...but also E-G-C or G-C-E So one single cord could already have 'many' variations. Not to mention the 'variatons' the guitar playes can do... inbetween. Impossible to capture! If you want that... "hire a guitar players" and if he is a good one, your track is ready in a few minutes. Instead of 'hours' of editing and so on.... So the concept of RG is far more inspired on the guitar and does focus on contemporary music...'grooves'.... 'typical sounds'. It can produce grooves, a guitar players never will be able to do. JoMal, who made quite some presets, is a guitar player. And he loved it..because you can go óut of the box'. With RG... you 'dig it' or you don't. And sure I know it is limited on certain points, but 'what it does' it does cool and can still be very useful in for contemporary productions. Rob |

Braj... Sorry, I am a little confused. By "RG", do you mean Musiclab's RealGuitar product? I initially thought so, but in one of the replies (Decker74), he names products that do have automatic chord recognition and suggests RealGuitar as an option. I also thought I understood from the web site and demos that RealGuitar does have chord recognition. ---- Cz... Kurz PC-88MX, Axiom 61, Roland SD-50, rack of legacy hdwr synths & processors Sonar X1, BIAB, Kontakt, Cantabile, IK Multi products, NI products |
