I have a question regarding that. Does one have to upgrade whenever switching to a newer version? Like from 4.2.2 to 4.3.1? |

You don't "have to". It's up to you to decide whether the changes (new features, improvements, fixes) interest you. |

Not sure if we are talking about the same thing here. I meant, do I have to or does it make sense to upgrade my 4.2.2. sessions when I upgrade my Mulab, say from 4.2.2 to 4.2.4. or 4.3.1? |

So far all M4x.x sessions are compatible.
The last step was from M3.2.14 to M4. Meaning that M4 can load session made with M3.2.14 and later. So, it's a good time to convert any M3 sessions now. The same for instrument/effect patches. M4 even comes with a conversion, so that M3 patches can be loaded. Jo will usually tell us when the file structure will change. |
