Perhaps a year ago I checked out an experimental sample browser that would analyze your sample collection then group sounds with similar characteristics together. The preview/selection approach was similar to wandering through a crowd and hearing a bit of all the conversations, but you'd focus on the voice you wanted to pay attention to.
At the time, I had some problems with it and removed it from my computer. If the project is still being developed, I'm curious to check it out again. However, I can't remember the name of it, let alone a URL. [Edit - it ran on Windows, possibly other platforms too.] Anyone know of this browser? Thanks for the links. It definitely wasn't AudioFinder, and unfortunately I didn't see it on the squidoo list either. |
