in SE v1.017 (which i think you meant) the waveshaper2 module also has crashed while running in SE when the text is changed
it seems to only happen when you change the text while SE is running the project, changing the text when SE is stopped iirc never caused a crash ---- It doesn't matter how it sounds.. ..as long as it has BASS and it's LOUD! |

i've only used the waveshaper2 module as a "hidden" shaper usually for some special waveforms or signals, never exposed it's GUI to the panel
but extra care should be taken, because the "text" on it is saved to PATCH memory, thus changing presets *could* change the text and make it crash.. ---- It doesn't matter how it sounds.. ..as long as it has BASS and it's LOUD! |

What you should do is to enable "Ignor program change" on the modules. |

thanks.
but i might use the regular waveshaper instead,as it's more user friendly. i also found a prefab by DiVerse called 'oscillator curver',i haven't tried it yet,but maybe it will be good? i've seen another curver somewhere too,are these the same kind of thing? |

The first has a bit rawer sound if you ask me. Not that I mind that at all, I just like the 2nd a lot better since it gives math geeks some freedom to go bananas. |
