i so wish that such a utility existed ... alas.. i'm afraid not..
you'll prolly have to convert one-by-one via recycle. |

Spectrasonics RMX have a tool to convert whole folder of REX to RMX format. RMX format is number of folders with names as preset/rex_file_name and single file Audio without extension inside this folder. File Audio IS wave file. Question is How to rename all Audio file to their folders names? It can be done e.g. with help of Total Commander Multi-rename tool in Windows. |

Nine Volt Audio has a utility called Rextractor which comes bundled with the "Metal Guitar: Riffs & Rhythms" library. It can convert Rex files to wav or Apple Loops at a user-defined tempo. Oddly, I haven't seen it anywhere else but bundled with this library but if this is something you'll be using a lot I guess it might be worth the cost of the library.

you'll prolly have to convert one-by-one via recycle. Up until recently, I was really stuck for hard drive space and had to make a decision about what to dump. I decided to keep the REX2 files and delete the WAV files. I have Recycle so it's one option. Pacha wrote: Spectrasonics RMX ...
Snip ... Don't have it! Yossarian wrote: Nine Volt Audio has a utility called Rextractor which comes bundled with the "Metal Guitar: Riffs & Rhythms" library. www.ninevoltaudio.com/videos/rextractor.html /Yoss That's interesting. I've purchased a lot of Libraries from them. Maybe I could ask politely (or just buy the "Metal Guitar: Riffs & Rhythms" library). http://www.ninevoltaudio.com/videos/rextractor.html Yeah, this looks excellent! Thank you. ---- The invisible and the non-existent look very much alike. |

Kyle from 9VA replied to my support request. Apparently Rextractor was designed only for use with "Metal Guitar: Riffs & Rhythms" (with the help of chickensys). He's advised me to contact chickensys. Maybe one of their Translator Prog's can handle the job. ---- The invisible and the non-existent look very much alike. |

You can convert Recycle files in bulk with Translator 6. www.chickensys.com
You have a lot of options, you can export them at faster tempo, slower tempo, as a whole loop, in slices, or both. Also you can export to an Instrument format where the loop and/or slices are mapped across the keyboard in a several different fashions. You can also convert to Stylus RMX, ACID, AppleLoops, or other slice file formats. (Also, OT, you can use Translator to convert ANY format - WAVE, AIFF, ACID, AppleLoops, to Stylus RMX format. Yee haw) |

One other OT thing - Translator 6 enables beat mapping of straight WAVE or AIFF files (or other) to ACID, AppleLoops, Stylus RMX, or Recycle 1. (Not Recycle 2, sorry, PropHeads encrypted the format.)
In bulk! See here for some disclaimers but at least it's possible. www.samplerzone.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2170 |

I'll be checking out your website. ---- The invisible and the non-existent look very much alike. |
