OK, that was a good idea to check the plugorama knowledge base but it say to search the plugin you want to update in the Direct install data base but this database is a bit short. None of the plugin I want to update are in this list.

So if someone know how to update the komplete 8 component, please let me know.
Almost every instruments need to be updated...

Hello Sylvain,

The best way to update these instruments is to go to the Native Instruments website and download the update manually. Make sure to get the Windows installer. Unzip the file and place the .exe file in the "drop installers here" folder on the Receptor Hard drive. Then go to the Receptor viewer and go to the setup page. Click the install 1 file button to run the installer. This will then update the plugin. Make sure you do these one at a time.

Thanks,

What about using the Service center application inside the Receptor. This worked fine for me so far...!?

So far we have had customers that had different outcomes using this method. The most stable and predictable way is manually downloading the updater.

This does not work for me. I ran the latest Absynth 5 update and all it accomplished was erasing the current version of the plug. How do I find out what went wrong?

Just a thought, but have you tried refreshing the plugins? That's of course if the install appears to have been successful.

Yes, I did. But the Absynth 5 dll had actually been deleted by the update without writing the new file. I didn't try any of FM8, Massive, etc.

Hi
I just tried to update complete 8 using the "drop files here" method.
It failed on every instance because the file paths on the receptor and windows are different.
In windows you get a choice to change the install path.On the receptor you dont get the choice.
The exe path is ok but the path to the 32 bit dll,s is different the installer returns a "failed" message.
The installers work fine in windows.I have also tried manualy copying dlls from windows to the receptor this failed.Proberbly to do with a regitry entry or some xml file.(Luckily i backed up the directory before i strted)
Help muse!!!!!!!!.
Confused

I oppened a ticket at muse to ask about this.

i was told that the upgrade installers for kontakt 5 remove the dlls from the vst32 directory
I checked my hd and the files where gone.Hence no kontakt 5 on andys receptor.
The solution was as follows.
1.turn of z-load.
2.remove all plugin instances from the mixer.
3.reeboot receptor.
4.copy the missing dlls( in my case kontakt)from a working windows installation.
5.to the vst32 on receptor.
5.reeboot.
6.run utility "refresh plugins"

Ithis worked fine for kontakt 5 so maybee it will work for the other applications to.
