I've had two house guests for about a week now, Jimmy and Dexter from next door.

I'm hoping my neighbour has just gone on holiday, most likely as her car is missing and the arrangement was the same as last year, a son was to stay and look after the house and cats. It's possible something has happened to stop this, but either way, Jimmy couldn't care less at not being able to get in, but Dexter keeps sitting near the front door before heading back into my house.

I'm feeding them but it'll be more than a tad cheeky if she's just gone away hoping/knowing full well I'll look after her cats, not to mention out of character as she's always asked and provided food and told me she was going away. Both cats have spent hours in my house for years now when they can't get in at home, my neighbour doesn't mind and neither do I, but I don't want them thinking they live here.

I just picked Sable up this evening.

I had a mini-breakdown this morning after I called to find out if she'd arrived yet, and again while I was at the vet and when I arrived back at home.

Kaylee tried to comfort me.

New development with Kaylee. Every once in a while, she'll lay on my lap on our couch...but only if I sit cross-legged. She likes the bowl.

Otherwise she won't be on the couch with us. She's kind of a solitary creature most of the time.
