I have a program that uses four additive sources. Two MSEG's are set up to modulate the morph xy parameters. This program also uses the arpeggiator. I want the MSEG's to freerun (trigger = off), but each arpeggiator step causes each MSEG to restart, even when MSEG trigger = off. When I am not using the arpeggiator, the MSEG's freerun as intended.
In contrast, with other programs with four sampler (not additive) sources, the MSEG's freerun as intended (MSEG trigger = off) even when the arpeggiator is used. I would like the MSEG's to freerun like this when additive sources are used. How can I achieve freerunning MSEG's when use the apreggiator with four additive sources? thanks Keith ---- Keith Glendale, AZ USA |

Hi Keith,
This has confused me in the past. The MSEGs act on the current legato group, taking in to account the master envelope release time. Retrigger on will retrigger for all new notes Retrigger off will retrigger for each new legato group. If the release time overlaps with the following note, the MSEG will not retrigger. One possible workaround is to use the step sequencers. With retrigger mode set to off the step sequencer will never retrigger. While not as flexible as the MSEGs it is possible to create quite complex shapes using the Smooth parameter (above the mod rack) + the Attack / Sustain / Release parameters. Let us know if you have any questions ... Peace, Andy. |

ZPH:
I increased the master envelope release time and achieved the effect that I wanted. thanks Keith ---- Keith Glendale, AZ USA |
