Hi,

As I'm away from Shanghai and back in Australia for a little while, I don't have access to my main plug-ins and and instruments, so I created this one from sounds I recorded on my phone at the Malmsbury train station. Our train was delayed, so I decided to just record the sounds around us. I did run the sounds through some effects of course, but apart from that the only other sound you hear is the drone in the background, which is from a free vst synth.

I haven't tried something like this before, but I really like how it turned out.

Would love some feedback.

Really nice piece. Malmsbury sounds like a very scary place.

My wife's parents live there. It is indeed a scary place.

Thanks a lot for the feedback.

Very good. You seem to have captured the quintessential elements of a railway station. The feeling of loneliness and desertion is perfectly encapsulated within 2:46 here. I think I can hear the echoing footsteps of a frustrated customer as she trudges into the darkness placing her trust in the enterprise of a local minicab operator.

Every time I go to a railway station I seem to suffer a similar fate.

Good work. Great recording and processing Cool

Thanks! I think you were thinking more deeply about it than I was. Thanks for taking the time to put it in writing.

Very cool. You might have never done anything like it before, but you should certainly do more like it in the future. Much enjoyed. Thanks.

Thanks for the positive feedback. It gives me motivation to do some more in this direction. Just need to find the right inspiration and sound sources. Malmsbury was an easy one to start with because of its isolated location.

Thanks again.
