Quote by Albert Einstein I hope this thread does not stop "noobs" from asking questions. There are no dumb questions. Also I don't think the question was stupid at all. ---- my music: http://www.soundclick.com/alexcooper “Everybody is a genius. jesus. this isn't just being new to something, though. it evidences an unwillingness to do any work on one's own, such as - not even RTFM, read the getting started information. Oh, no, the interwebs haz all teh informations. a lot of times it's let me google that for you.
[Einstein quote?] this tendency towards enabling here seems getting to be a real thing. I'll answer that question if no one else will, but jesus. https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ie=UTF- 8&ion=1#hl=en&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=midi&oq=&gs_l=& pbx=1&fp=4f7562df148c9613&ion=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.& biw=1916&bih=1083 you know. On a more serious note (and not directed at anyone), this is a forum........right? I mean that IS the point........right? That's what has always bugged me, people have a "rtfm" tude when you HAVE read the manual.
It used to be ask a question and get roasted alive. It's better now, the garbage has a way of finding it's way to the bin fast enough usually. |

Quote by Albert Einstein I hope this thread does not stop "noobs" from asking questions. There are no dumb questions. Also I don't think the question was stupid at all. +1 I'm glad people had the patience, integrity and CLASS to answer all my ignorant questions honestly and without making fun of me. Sure, a few people may have made fun of me but they didn't help themselves any more than they helped me. Of course I assume they all grew up like I did. Asking questions is not "dumbing down" and it surely is not enabling anything but enlightenment. I guess it must be nice to be born an expert...scratch that, thankfully I was not born an expert at anything because had I been born an expert I never would have learned how to learn (or learned respect and basic self respect). I guess being born smarter than everyone else does make one an expert at arrogance...I would rather be with 100 ignorant people than 1 arrogant person. That way we can all learn together because the truth is even when I know the answer I could still learn something along the way. The arrogant are the true losers because they lose out on more learning to feed the pathetic superficial egos...if you have to stoop that low to stroke your ego my guess is relatively speaking you're not stooping to low because you're already about as low as a person can get. IGNORANT AND PROUD OF IT, BECAUSE I STILL HAVE THE PLEASURE OF LEARNING ---- I never learned anything from being right Hink 2012 RIP Reason L. and Ian B |

it can be bad, but I'm responding to the not even knowing what midi is level.
everyone can have a moron moment. I can't help where I'm stupid; there are areas I will not grow in because of aptitude retardation. Laziness is another thing. |

Well I don't want to be a hypocrite, I've tried being part of every clique there is and probably stepped on a couple of toes I shouldn't have in the process. Like Hink said, I like learning. |

@ Hink: that is pretty reactionary and self-righteous. And it's not different in quality than bullying people with the tone.
Write a manifesto, you know. It takes around two seconds to google 'midi' and find out what it is. Last edited by jancivil on Fri Aug 17, 2012 8:50 pm; edited 1 time in total |

so it's aptitude retardation when the shoe is on your foot but it's laziness when it's on someone elses foot? ---- I never learned anything from being right Hink 2012 RIP Reason L. and Ian B |

Hink wrote: so it's aptitude retardation when the shoe is on your foot but it's laziness when it's on someone elses foot? no man, it's laziness when it's f**king laziness. I have answered a lot of beginner questions, since you're directing shit at me. Quite thoroughly, showing people the basics, eg., of Cubase when they wouldn't RTM. A lot of things. However I don't suffer everything as magnanimously as I would if was perfect.
Your tone and attack mode, like you're going to bash people into being kind, is the opposite of kind. You're only showing hypocrisy and a bad disposition yourself. TONS O' TUDE. You showed us not to be arrogant, sure you did. Last edited by jancivil on Fri Aug 17, 2012 8:56 pm; edited 1 time in total |
