Hello there,
I was looking for a good, or at least decent sounding Piano VSTi for under 150€ - the only good thing I found so far was TruePianos by 4Front, but most people say that you can get better / the same for less than the 150€ 4Front wants from you.

It doesn't really matter to me if its Hybrid or not, would be nicer if it would be, but oh well. Other than that, compatibility with Asio4All would be awesome, too.

I hope you guys can help me a little bit with that. Smile

See you

Has a lot of suggestions. Many for >150.

I'd add Sampletekk Black: http://www.sampletekk.com/proddetail.php?prod=STDELIVER-039- KONT

I would suggest Sound Magic Pianos, which is hybrid modeling. Also we have a lot different pianos for you to choose. Steinway, Bosendorfer, fazioli or Yamaha. You will find one piano best for you. Here is the link

Just to repeat Kaboom's endorsement- if you wish to have just one Piano VST for 150 Eur (or less) which has multiple "personas", absolutely amazing sound, and flexibility to cover different music genres (classical, pop, improv, jazz, cinematic, etc.) then The Giant is your choice.

I've compared a LOT of Piano VSTs lately (Alicia's Keys, Piano in Blue, Komplete Piano set, and listened to others. The two best in my opinion come from Galaxy (Vintage D, The Giant) and the very same engineer Uli Baronowsky, who as NI phrases it is a "sonic artisan". This pair of VSTs from Galaxy & Mr. Baronowsky are all you'll need IMHO and without peer... Exclamation

Edit: Uhh, my second reply was supposed to be an edit of this one, I don't know what went wrong there. This one can be deleted.

Well, the thing is: I need it as a) a standalone-version to use with my PX-800 for live-recording and b) as VSTi to use with Renoise, my Tracker, my Host.
The Giant seem to only support KONTAKT-Products, which is bad for my purposes. :/

I wish there was no problem with TruePianos, which I already asked Support via Support-Form for, else I would take TruePianos perhaps. But there are some problems. First of all, the support doesn't reply, it says that the current estimated response time is at 1 business day - and I asked on wednesday. The second thing is that it got highly praised for not cutting off notes when playing a lot of notes - that's wrong, when I play with a Sample-Rate of 44100 and a Latency of 576 ( Multi-CPU Engine and Sypathetic Resonance on ) The Notes get cut off after I play some few other notes right after it using my pedal.

But whatever. So, I'm still open for suggestions, while waiting for another response, I keep on browsing through the big thread that has been suggested already. See you then. Smile
