Haha! All too true, I'll have to change the name of my track, too (okay, just kidding about that... I haven't even started mine |

A heads up to anyone who wants to use a mac vst version (there must be someone else out there!), the DuneCM that comes with the latest issue of Computer Music (downloadable along with tons of other cool plugs for a $5 purchase) includes mac vst. jasinski wrote: For anyone interested in some custom presets, here you go.
Thanks for sharing these jasinski. Some very nice drums and I love that jazz guitar - nice detail right down to the flatwound strings!I made these while working on the contest track. If you try them out I'd love to know what you think! https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1637444/Dune-Jasinski.zip |

Hi folks,
Here is my submission, Arrakis. DUNE of course has a lot of dance/techno/trance oriented presets, so, not surprisingly, there are many submissions in those genres. But it is clearly a very versatile and capable synth in any genre. So, I thought I'd try an orchestral soundtrack this month. Hope you like it. http://soundcloud.com/adagiocm/adagiocm-arrakis Host: Sonar X1 Producer Extended, 64-bit. DUNE BE instances: 25. Host effects: Sonitus Compressor, PX64 Percussion Strip, Channel Tools, ProChannel EQ/compression/saturation. Free effects: Freeverb STRev, NastyDLA Mk II, Amplitube Custom Shop (gentle tube amp effect: Clean 800), epicVerb, Formatbank, Rescue, Camel Crusher, Tessla PRO. All percussion sounds are homemade, as well as several other sounds. Soundcloud seems to be compressing/distorting the dynamics of this one noticeably, so please download and listen if you can. Enjoy! |
