I think UVI is great and even though I don't have Mach V, I think it's also good that there are other options out there besides just Kontakt. The UVI libraries that I've used sound really good and their customer support is fantastic. I guess people's mileage may vary. But no complaints here. ---- Spacey stuff: www.myspace.com/sequent7 Cloudy stuff: www.soundcloud.com/sequent7 Available on iTunes and at Amazon. |

"Very little to offer" is incorrect. Why not address the rest of my post about its superior interface, synthesis capabilities, and effects? |

"Very little to offer" is incorrect. Why not address the rest of my post about its superior interface, synthesis capabilities, and effects? That comment was clearly in the context of a comparison to Kontakt. In comparison. To Kontakt. And again, it may have. for all I know, better FX. Subjectively the interface may be superior. The synthesis could be f**king awesome. But MOTU can't be bothered to make a demo. And that's a whole other discussion about company cachet and the diminishing role of actual music shops. ---- "What embecile composed this list :/" |

No, it's not really subjective. MachFive's GUI is, by and large, better than Kontakt's, from a variety of reasons. |
