I would urge every SM or former SM developer to put a link to this thread on your website, if you are able according to your business requirements.

I will keep using SM but under the current circumstances there is no way I will even consider demoing Flowstone and certainly not paying for it.

I was thinking... does the deletion of a post that disagrees with some position but uses no cursing or personal attacks can be seen as "censorship"? Are we facing something that clearly goes against the freedom of opinion at Outsim's forum?

Just thinking... Confused

Five posts of mine like that were removed when the admins removed entire threads that weren't going their way. Who do they think they are fooling on the SM forum? When their mods have turned against them it's time to admit they were wrong.

I've commented on the freedom of expression issue. If anyone with a SynthMaker forum membership that has not commented so far wished to express their view on the matter perhaps OutSim would be interested in your opinions.

We have had several letters requesting the archiving of this forum as a resource for the SynthMaker community once the move over to DSPRobotics (http://www.dsprobotics.com) and FlowStone is complete.

We are happy to take your opinions on board and are prepared to give you the opportunity to show us that can act in a responsible way and stop posting, abuse, wild speculation, and long rants. This forum is for OutSim users to share information about OutSim products and help each other, not to turn it into a personal soap box.

Over the next few days we will be cleaning up the forum removing all inappropriate threads, and black listing persistent abusers in preparation for the changeover to FlowStone. So you have this time to show us it's worth saving!

That's their fault. So they'll go against everything regarding freedom of speach, freedom of press and freedom of thought here. As a user at their "forum" I kinda feel violated even though my posts have been "going their way". Deleting users posts is darn wrong in the very first place anyway. No wonder why I spend as little time as possible there.

I'd say it's time to give some nice and cozy info.

This .osm holds two labels. One dark and one bright. They state that the plugin is made with SynthMaker, which is true. The normal labels provided had a link to SynthMaker. These ones has a link to the first page of this topic. Smack them on the about dialog in your plugin. Smile

I'm still debating using FlowStone; getting a new update for only $30 seems like a good deal to me, that is IF these issues get addressed:

1) Does Outsim have the legal right to distribute Ruby with exported .EXE/VSTs?
2) Seems Ruby's garbage collection is will cause stutter for real-time DSP.
3) Only having 32bit VST2.3 exports does not cut it anymore.
4) Plus their prior history buggy releases, lack of internal testing, & them not knowing the VST market well enough doesn't look good.
5)

The first 3 I'd be willing to work with them to help improve, if it was not for the last 2 issues.

I do wish I had Malc's & Jorge's direct emails so I could let them know they lost 1/2 of their staunch supporters, & 1/2 of their likely new customers thanks to Carl.

Perhaps instead of wasting energies on morning on the loss or Outsim's current (in)actions, we should just make our own builder system?

That includes me. I've certainly lost my faith in their capability to handle customer relations. Customer relations is like respect. It has to be earned. And Carl blew my entire respect for them straight off a cliff. Thanks for that Carl. You've turned against your customers, and given your part of the visual VST development market straight to SynthEdit. Jeff must certainly love your incompetence.
