Pretty graphics, but fairly useless for me in a practical sense. |

Ah yes the whole of Megaupload was seized and the owner jailed for having illegal downloads (uploads.. Anyway, if you want the Cyril V4, just send him a PM and he will surely upload somewhere else. Here's anyway a screenie for info. Nothing fancy but in my opinion the only one to use if you have many tracks going:
The green and black boxes are actually the signal meters, just used to check which track is sounding. The mixer is best for doing levels etc anyway.. |

Yeah, I haven't even tried it. I use rado 4, I just can't think of being happier. |

Yeah I like it better than Rado 4 myself. I just double-checked, yep, I like much better |

You do need two monitors, that is a must, but for me it is really liberating. I have a dedicated, nice mixing desk now. I was NEVER happy with any of the other themes or with Studio One's version. Just the way it is all laid out, i feel like the meters are in a good place and I can understand what is what with all my plugins with a glance. V'ger is right though, it doesn't do double rows and if you have a ton of tracks you'll be scrolling, but i usually have maybe 12 tracks, I mix my drums in BFD2, don't use multi-outs much and just don't go crazy with track count. It really really suits me. I booted into Studio One today and though there are so many things I like about it in its own way, I just found myself missing Reaper. I have to give credit to this theme because i wasn't feeling that way in other themes, I was always feeling it was clunky but this feel really coherent to me. |

I also finally got my nanoKontrol2 working properly with Reaper so that is also a big help |

It's no good for me, I tried it on, but the faders take up the whole screen and I can't see anything else, my monitor is 21"... obviously not what is considered a "big monitor" these days.
Shame, it looks bloody nice! |

Just a more general thought about Reaper's graphics:
I live in the Midi editor most of the time and WALTER brought close to nothing for me and us other heavy Midi users imo. |

I don't know, i also use Studio One and Reaper's GUI for the midi editor is great in comparison for my needs, maybe not so pretty but being able to view notes by color and hide unused notes is great for how i work. Like I can 'hear' colors and 'see' sounds. I agree the theme aspect could be improved though, but at least it works for me. I am torn between reaper's midi (I know some hate it but I like it) and Studio One's audio. I think I may be rewiring Reaper into Studio One to record audio and master. |

While it's beautiful to look at, I've found it difficult to use.
Too many gradients and too much shading. |

that's kinda what I thought. It beautiful, but not as functional to me. The one I use is ok looking but highly functional for my workflow. ymmv |

I abandoned Sonar Producer too as well as Studio One for REAPER. It does everything I need - customizing is easy and the plug-ins it comes with are really pretty good. Also on my 24" HD LCD I can have it all on the screen including the mixer, etc. without sacrificing anything. I love it - it's my MAIN go-to DAW now even on my Mac G5 tower and I own Logic Studio 9! ---- Now the proud owner of an avid 11 Rack, Running Pro Tools 10.3.3 - for me it's heaven! |

I've tried the latest from White Tie, but gone back to Rado Sand, which aesthetically, fits very nicely with RME TotalMix GUI I have up. |
