Hmm. I tried installing this and I've now given in. Install, reinstalled, reinstalled eLicenser with latest version, blah blah blah, been jerked into a forced restart I didn't ask for...
I may just be being dim, but we'll see if Steinberg customer service can help. The email with the download link said: Quote: If no activation code is provided here, you can run your trial version without activation right after the installation.
But that doesn't seem to be the case. Ah well. At least I have a month! |

On TT DR, I extracted the DLL and didn't install the whole thing. I can still the VST in Wavosaur to get that number.. right? or I HAVE to install the whole thing? ---- Yes, you need to install the full thing to do an offline check with the standalone application, it's much more accurate than the vst. The vst is just meant to be used as orientation. Actually this is a great tool, I just checked some random songs in there and the songs that I liked the most have a different DR from others. ¿But what's the best dynamic ranges we should seek while mixing or mastering? I've read the full manual and there's not a very specific answer to this. ¿Is between 7 and 14 the right DR? BTW good luck with your songs! |

See Pleasurize Music Foundation for more info about DR number and why. haha, guess they never got around to making that mac version |

Started playing with it today. It seems like a decent analog style synth. Nothing blowing me away though. I like the modulation matrix but sonically it's well trod ground. |

The vst is just meant to be used as orientation. Thanks for confirming that, I used the VST version today while finalizing my Dune track but it did not work as the standalone. May be I am doing something wrong. Here is what I did - I put it at the end of the master channel but only one meter was moving and I didn't see the RMS, Peak value change at all. But when I put the DLL in Wavosaur just before converting it to Mp3, all the meters were moving and the values were changing. I need to read the manual again. numerologia wrote: ¿But what's the best dynamic ranges we should seek while mixing or mastering? Couldn't find anything in the manual. numerologia wrote: BTW good luck with your songs! Thanks, uploaded it already. |

Gee, A forward and backwards button to scroll the presets would have been nice... maybe even a small text bar to show the name of the patch? Seems that would be a standard feature by now... |

+1 here. I think our impressions are shaped by having such a versatile synth as DUNE last month, and it is really hard to match that every month. I'm sure we will have a lot of fun with this synth too, in any case. |

Look at this site:
http://www.pleasurizemusic.com/en/our-aim On the end of the page there is a table. According this, a DR of 8 and above is OK for electronic music with heavy rythm. More soft tracks should have 10 or more I think. Photonic ---- soundcloud.com/photonic-1 |

But when I tweaked around some parameters I could see, that there is more inside than the prestes are showing. I like the mod-matrix, this is quite powerfull. I am afraid that it will be hard in future to find a synth for us, which makes every one happy. We are spoild! Photonic ---- soundcloud.com/photonic-1 |

The layout is fast and intuitive. As mentioned the mod matrix is excellent. The oscillator type options offer lots of possibilities like multiple detuned voices and FM. I really recommend exploring these. I agree the presets aren't that great. One of my favorite things I've been toying with lately is Cubase note expression, changing parameters such as cutoff and resonance of individual notes within a chord. Not sure though if this is fair to use in a contest such as this where everyone does not have access to it. V'ger or Irion... any thoughts? |

Now that I think on it a bit more, I guess I prefer a more limited palette for these OSCs. Makes you stretch a bit further. photonic wrote: +2 here. Photonic The presets definitely don't give a full example of what it can do. I agree. Last edited by jasinski on Sat Sep 01, 2012 7:50 am; edited 1 time in total |
