Look.
It's just a new VST. From one of the best devs around. When people make sweeping statements like ... or .... Then expect a bit of silliness back in reply. No one claimed this was this or that. It's a new VST. And there may be people out there that do not have your palette of VSTs or sound design capability. I also think that if it is not rude, then it is a little insensitive to a poor old German Cobbler knocking bent nails into a withered old boot. I was joking of course. But then again who knows, with my sense of humour. You are entitled to your opinion. And I respect your views. This really is a masterpiece. Because you are so sophisticated and have the equipment to replicate what it does so easily - bully for you. Come on. I don't work for LinPllug. I can't even afford it at the moment. Please use your superior experience to do something other than gloat and say: Well, this is pretty good, if you didn't have that, and that is a very easy way to do that - this is not so special, but, this I really like.... Come on, it's called constructive criticism. It strikes of ego when one just says - Well I don't know wtf all the fuss is about - I can do that with synthone. Anyway, I'm sorry Peter for calling you an old German Cobbler. There goes my f***** discount dunnit? (Still he makes exceedingly good boots My red and white Albino 3's are the envy of the village. Even the girlies want a pair...with slightly higher heelage tbf. Er, I was trying to make a point here. Did anyone TFG it? Really there is no need for obscure metaphor. Please give constructive criticism. After all, I might want to buy what you got for a good price. ---- "I guess once a junkie, always a junkie." - Bruce Swedien. |

Er sorry, suppose should name names.
Yes, my little tirade was directed at you jobromedia. engine gave lots of things to dislike for good reasons (constructive criticism) Or possibly even destructive criticism. As for others having a go about my other comments. I was being double double ironic. Come on, KVR is known for being the snappiest place on the net. Get with the program chaps! I like the thing. Read the wft ffs! I just want to know whether to buy this thing when I can afford it in a couple of weeks. Or if something else will do the job the same a whole lot cheaper. Dissect it like a frog I say! So far I don't personally see anything else that does what this does at this price. (Despite criticisms).. ---- "I guess once a junkie, always a junkie." - Bruce Swedien. |

They are plugins.
VST is a just a format. Same with Vsti. There is also AU, RTAS, and many others... If someone calling the vst crap does that mean the audio unit still has a chance to be good? Btw thanks for this peter. Been waiting for this |

The sequencers/arps can sequence seemingly any parameter. You cannot modulate the arp though to my knowledge. Does the arp have a tie for glides? Albino had such a great arp. Nice and simple but very flexible. Each step had a velocity and if you pushed it all the way to the top it became tie. Linplug have since had less useful arps in their recent synths. Never understood that. The arp does have a tie for glides. Works the same way as you said there. Not really at all familiar with Albino's arp so I can't compare really. Great to hear. Looks like a great design, I'll be demoing when I get a chance. Looked at the screenshots and I see no swing setting for the arp. This can't be true, is it hidden? I will never understand modern synths having an arp without swing. ---- This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 255 character limit. I'm selling this in the marketplace if anyone is interested. Not a huge discount but a discount. ---- my music: http://www.soundclick.com/alexcooper “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” |

I love this synth. After 2 minutes of using it I read the whole manual so I'd be able to do whatever I wanted with it. I've been on a manual reading kick lately, Z3ta, Stutter edit and then CRX4.
It has changed the way I approach making bass. I'm going to be posting a video soon since the manual info is still fresh in my mind. |
