some weeks ago Jorgen, wrote about XT3 and how excited he were and then changed his mind into a maybe beta of 2.7 ...

but at least we get a nicer logo in the title bar!!!

You see that's the problem. A roadmap, regular releases, sticking to what he says, communicating on a regular basis. Lack of all of those and changing direction at the last minute are all the things that are driving XT to its death.

Jorgen could learn a lot just by reading these threads and taking a step back and considering what simple things he could do to get things back on track. It's not rocket surgery.

Even if there were an XT3, who would be gullible enough to use it after XT1 and XT2 turned out to be half-baked abortions? Would you really wait another half decade for fundamental features to trickle out just so it could reach feature parity with a DAW from 2002? I loved XT in its day but I had to move on to a DAW in which I could finish something without fear of it crashing. Bidule takes care of all my modular routing needs today.

Yep, I own XT1 and 2 but will not even consider a 3

some say j is gifted programmer. if this is the case, then why does xt2 crash a lot of times? i work in IT and i know first hand that most programmers (no matter how "gifted") just hack their code, don't do testing and frequently omit any exception handling. xt2 caused me bluescreens one out of three times using it. use it for a regular session (3hrs) and definitely something will happen. it not only makes my the session null and void but it also threatens all the other things I'm doing on my pc. even if it doesn't cause a bluescreen, the asio driver is not released, leading to any other unexpected behaviour. anyone remember the bug where the ram was not release when deleting an instrument? these are fundamentals in any software and a programmer who is not able to deal with it properly, should get another job, imo.

Rubbish, XT1 would still be my most used plugin today if Jorgen would release an X64 version (Yes Delphi is X64 now)

xt has been sabotaged by a stalwart group of intentional detractors. who wants to interact with customers who turn every disappointment into a major theatrical debacle and betrayal?

year after year, folks stop in here to badmouth eXT and make sure the top posts contain voluminous detraction. naturally, i think the developers prefer to focus on what they are doing, and give those things the time they take integrated with real life instead of meeting the commercial production ideal.

okay, now bury this in more expressions of disappointment and betrayal.

Not entirely sure i agree with that , however the people who screamed "Kill them" at certain people when xt2 was released because those certain people said "Something is up here" seem to be the same people who now scream "Kill jorgen" at any given opportunity, it is sad to see but it is no less than he deserves in actual fact.

HE IS one of the all time greats of the audio dev world at this point (If you have no idea of how important XT1 actually was to most DAW users a few years back then just shut up)

So right now it is very obvious that these screamers are just being over the top atypical KVRians, Jorgen has been a let down in recent years (Don't try arguing that fact, even his last release, some joke of a vsti was, well it was a joke) but at the same time Jorgen has been a silly fool to himself.

Sabotage implies instigation, yet everything that has been said/written is certainly reactive and I have heard no evidence that the lack of development or lack of communication was driven by events that preceded it.

Keep in mind that xoxos has a history of blaming invisible, secretive groups for events that displease him, and never attributes a motive for these groups.

Sure, there has been naysaying, but I don't know that I feel it's without cause. The biggest issue to me is that if Jorgen just spoke up and addressed the issues this would stop.
