I should point out that the CPU usage might be a bit higher since I was also screen recording.

Just watched the video, I like the flexibility of it. If something like that is supported by a dedicated controller, it's going to be even greater. From the interface layout, the CNTRL:R or Spark looks like a great controller for it.

I do not own a hand drum controller. Mandala is a very advanced design - I think it's the most advanced single-drum controller ever. But it has no knobs or other controllers, and is not paired with a synth per se, just sample software.

Afaik, FXpansion have no plans to do a controller for Tremor. They haven't even updated Tremor yet. They have some kind of relationship (BFD) with ZenDrum.

I still say the best hand drum controller for a kit of sounds is the Handsonic, but the Mandala may be the best controller for a single analog patch or a single multi-sampled sound. Don't forget, a percussionist can set up multiple Mandalas all around them. The Mandala is much less expensive than the Handsonic too Smile

Perhaps something like Mandala, with synth controls at the top and dedicated VA software, could be a percussionist's take on the Spark concept.

Or, how about a dedicated synth controller which is meant to be paired with Mandala, but which can sit alongside the Mandalas on it's own tripod mount, and which pairs with an 8-voice U-He VA / FM / wavetable drumsynth? There could be enough controls for a single synth voice, then you cycle among the voices with a button. Or, like Spark, keep the conrols for each voice always available in real time, and permit assignable functions to each knob / slider to keep the knob count down. Maybe a collaboration between U-He and synesthesiacorp would be the ticket HiHi

Once Synesthesia recover from that DOS attack Sad

Shit! Very nice,
Is that available in the one shot kits ZPC download in the patch-Lib?
//L
Thanks Smile
It should be in the ZPC-15 "Drum kits" download: http://www.u-he.com/PatchLib/zebra.html Smile

Cheers

Hey...

What about a drum mode for zebra 3? For those of us who don't use reason, and can't just drop them in drum racks. (man i miss that feature)

Talking about controller, has anyone tried the QuNeo with Zebra? Looks interesting: http://www.keithmcmillen.com/QuNeo/overview

Specially since each pad may contains up to four notes (samples or clips in Ableton Live). Looks like a perfect controller for Attack, Stylus and Drum Rack, or anything with a Keyboard layout. It's almost like the combination of Launchpad and padKontrol.

Zendrum is just a controller like Handsonic (but weirder HiHi ), and again, no other controls.

The combination of the zendrum and nanopad looks interesting.
