Warning! T-C-M is addictive...

(Edit, May 09, 2013)

**************************************
Trans Computer Maschine v1.30 released
**************************************

We are pleased to announce that our freeware 'Trans Computer Maschine' was
updated to version 1.30 on May 1, 2013.

Visiting the corresponding page on this site you will notice that it has
not been updated since November 29, 2012.

Unfortunately, after regular and respectfully ask for updating the related
information, we have not even received a response from KVR.

Any complaints about the case should be made to the administration of KVR,
since that problem does not depend on us.

Wow, this is quite impressive... :-o Any chance to have sequencer midi data transmitted in the future, perhaps?
Awesome sound, anyway!

CMT wrote: You may notice also the absence of presets and this was unfortunately due to giving priority to real-time live operation adjustments and having not enough time for the presets at the end.
Don't know the rules about it, but if it is possible I will add presets with a
next fix.
Hi CMT,
what about to give us some presets now?....if you post it here, I think that would be ok!

Post

The sequencer on T-C-M will be released in the future as a MIDI controller only (no built in synth), probably having more rows on board but it won't be free.

I'm working on some presets so be patient please, I almost lost my mind the last weeks hurring up to submit my plug-in in time.

Enjoy everybody and let me know if a bug shows up...

Cheers,

Wally

Gladly. 8)

Bugs

- Sequencer: Settings of Interval and Transpose rows messed up after preset reload. Which positions are affected, and how strongly they deviate, appears to be random. Control rows not tested, but very likely that they suffer from the same problem.

- ADSRs: Decay stage(s) nonfunctional after saving and reloading a preset with Sustain at 0. Only way to get it back is to move the Sustain slider above 0 for a moment. Note: This bug seems to occur irregularly. According to my observations it could be related to the previously loaded preset, i.e. the preset that was active before loading the .fxp into that slot.

- UI: Hit-zone of filter pole-switch button shifted towards north-east, lower left quarter of button unresponsive.

Other

- Sequencer: Manual tempo not stored in presets / not restored after preset load

- Sequencer: Manual tempo tied to sync-divisors - should be independent

- MIDI Channel Router: Settings not stored in presets

- UI: Oscilator instead of Oscillator (missing l)

- UI: range instead of Range (lowercase/uppercase)

Usability Improvement Proposals

- Sequencer: Option to start/stop/reset when host starts/stops/resets (host sync)

- Sequencer: Option to start/stop on note-on/note-off with note-transpose retained

Thank you very much, ENV1 for BUG reporting!

I'm going quickly to work on it!

Youre welcome.

BTW, i think i may have found another. When i feed the S&H module one of the LFO waveforms, the LFO doesnt trigger the module. Keyboard Trigger and Sequencer Clock work, though. LFO Trigger works fine when one of the OSC waveforms is used.

On a more encouraging note; i think you did some fantastic work here. TCM is tuned to a very nice sound characteristic, which makes it extremely usable. Also one can tell that you must have put a LOT of effort into this. As a huge fan of modulars/semimodulars and sequencers (preferably combined as in this case) i am glad to admit that so far this is definitely my favorite instrument entry. I therefore really hope that you will be able to iron out all the bugs, because it would be too bad if this entry failed just because of some technical issues.

Looking forward to your update. 8)

ENV1 Wrote:

You must disable the 'Sync' button to load tempo stored in a preset (check readme in new DL).
ENV1 Wrote:

T-C-M's got it's own internal clock, divisors are related to the internal clock which, of course can be synced to host clock (I made a small change in the GUI so 'Bar Divisions' is not directly associated with 'Sync').

ENV1 Wrote:
- MIDI Channel Router: Settings not stored in presets
Has to be this way, anyone's MIDI rig is different so must not be stored with presets.

- Sequencer: Option to start/stop/reset when host starts/stops/resets (host sync)
What host are you using? It should work, the Sequencer 'transport' is slaved automatically when the 'Sync' button is active.

Interesting, but adding this now is against the contest rules so I'll think about it for a future update.
