I'm going into deep listening mode with this right now...
Whoa, 39 intense minutes later. Really broad range of emotions and colours. The Orchestration is very accomplished. I must listen to this again.
I like how it broadens out towards the end.
Diverstiy of styles.
A sense of focus though throughout. Sometimes in the beginning it seemed like the tempo dragged abit.
A sound adventure..
Great to get a view into this aspect of your work.

Thank's for listening, Wade - it's somehow a subconscious trip through different epoques and eras - diversity of styles is my nature. In some passages the orchestra struggled to play it at the desired tempo, they're not used to unusal rhythms like 5/8+6/8 - 5/4 - 9/8 and the conductor was pretty young and not so experienced with this kind of music. But he did his best and for a premiere the performance quality wasn't badTwoToneshuzz wrote:I'm going into deep listening mode with this right now...

Here is a quick and dirty bounce of the unfinished 3rd part of my upcoming orchestral premiere "Windschatten" - a concerto for Flugelhorn (played by my brother Markus), symphony orcehestra and some live-electronics which will be performed in a church in Hamburg on May 19.
Produced entirely with samples/virtual instruments, not mixed, just one Reverb on everything (VRoom) to simulate the acoustics in the church. To be continued...

EDIT: This has now been updated, as I finished it yesterday.
