I was wondering since you guys have had a massive amount of updates and releases just recently if there is now a feature to transpose? In the kontakt player for instance, you can take a sample and 'stretch' it out across the keyboard to take up as many notes as you want. Obviously, within limits as after a certain point things sound more and more unrealistic.....but would this not be an easy way of getting all 4 sheng for instance? (bass, tenor, alto, and soprano). |

Hi chee_zee,
It's not possible to do transpose like that in QIN engine. QIN is not really a sampler per se. Unlike most samplers that can work on the level of individual sample, QIN is designed to work with instrument subsets provided by us, hence the limitation. |

The only work-around I've found is to bounce a track down and then use a sampler to pitch-shift the audio file - you could make your own Kontakt preset if you wanted to. This works for small changes in pitch/speed. But it wouldn't turn a bass sheng into a treble sheng as the different instruments have very different tonal qualities. |
