From their FB page:
"Black Friday Weekend - Visit waves.com from Friday, Nov. 23 - Monday, Nov. 26 to pick up OneKnob Louder - 100% FREE! Sign up now and be the first to know when you can get your free plugin - http://www.waves.com/lp/black-friday/louder-pre.html?ref=fb" This would surely be V9, therefore it won't require dongles and stuff for CP. Guessing it'll just authorize via their normal service center app (which is still a PITA mind, but better than a dongle if you're not into that sort of thing). Any opinion on this... any good? Thanks for the heads up, GeorgeZ! Signed up!
I haven't found anything they make that I wouldn't be happy to own. And if it's anything like the L series limiters, Yow! On a similar note, Audiomidi's current No-Brainer is the Waves AudioTrack Native channel strip for $15. A comp/gate/eq with the familiar Waves gui: http://www.audiomidi.com/AudioTrack-Native-No-Brainer/dp/B00 95ZEIOA And for more info: http://www.waves.com/Content.aspx?id=235 KVR/eSoundz: Xenobt |

If you're talking about the AudioTrack, when I bought it, it was an actual box that should have the serial number on a card or sticker inside. I'm still waiting for mine, but that's generally how boxed stuff works.
You go to, (or create) a Waves account and register it with the serial on the card. Of course, adding the shipping makes it more than $15, so that may deter some folks. But $20 for a Waves comp and eq? STILL nice! I assume that Louder is a download since it's free, and imagine you'll receive a download link and serial number with your confirmation email. Right now, sending your email to the link above will just get you a notice of when you can start downloading it. Still, a VERY nice gift from Waves. And Audiomidi too! KVR/eSoundz: Xenobt |

It's been listed $15.00 there for ages. Could be another AudioMidi.com screw up, maybe why they're closing shop. |

Hi Everyone,
I've been a constant lurker of this amazing website and forum for a while now and jumped on the chance to pick up that Waves AudioTrack no brainer special from AudioMIDI.com after seeing it mentioned here. After viewing their Facebook page (last active Oct. 30) and their twitter page, it seemed AudioMIDI was still up and running, I rolled the dice and purchased the no-brainer special yesterday morning. The payment was processed and so I began to wait for my activation code. Sadly, the code has yet to arrive and after several e-mail messages and calls to the phone number on the website (as well as the invoice) failed to be answered by anyone, it seems I may have been burnt on this deal. I don't want to quite throw up the "buyer beware" red flag yet, however, I will most likely contact my bank & Amazon (who handled the payment processing for AudioMIDI.com) in order to pursue a refund. It's tragic really, as I've dealt with them in the past with much success. I simply wanted to post this to prevent anyone else from following in my footsteps. However, if anyone has made the purchase recently with success (or knows how to get a hold of someone at AudioMIDI.com), I'm all ears. Cheers. |

AudioMidi can be a little slow to process but I've never had any problem with them as such. Sometimes it can take them a day or two. |

I'll hold off on pursuing any further action for until Friday evening in hopes everything works out. I'll post an update with regards to the outcome. Cheers. |

Oh yes this thread was about Waves OneKnob Louder..
First I wasn't interested so much but it does low level compression so might be good to have. And for free the price is certainly right. |

Ha! I was just thinking the opposite. L3 is one of the two Waves plugs I personally own lol. I wonder how this compares. Holly-Jolly-Waves wrote: Ideal for individual tracks and full mixes alike, Waves OneKnob Louder uses a powerful combination of low-level compression plus automatic makeup gain and peak limiting to increase RMS volume by up to 24 dB. Well, ok. With there being only one knob, I wouldnt mind a bit more description of what turning that one knob is actually doing, but I guess I can wait, and listen. What is 'low-level' compression in this context? Does it just smash to -.1db or are there hidden additional controls? |
