Hi all experts here,

I plan to make some purchases on vst/fx/programs for this season. I plan to spend my fixed budget for this season, regardless whether I need those vst/fx/progam at this moment or not. I just do not want to wait after this season and then only to pay more for those great programs.

Synth, effects, plugin or standalone programs would all be fine, as long as they are popular among experts here.

Thanks to you all. Have a great holiday!

Fabfilter Saturn makes me jizz.

Call it an EQ, call it a saturator, call it distortion, call it an exciter, call it a multiband compressor.

It's all of those.

I would probably go for Native Instruments Komplete 8, if it's in your budget range. It might get updated soon though (to Version 9), in which case the Komplete 8 price would go down. If you can't spend that money, I would get Kontakt 5 that opens up a huge amount of desirable third party programs.

all U-He plugins are superb, but Diva is incredible

and the fabfilter stuff is great too

z3ta 2.x is a fine synth, and includes a stellar multi fx plugin version,
the same one from version 1.x
Excellent for guitars, and other non-synth uses as well.
Cheers

Rapture at just $20 from Sweetwater, unbelievable value

Edit: Seems some users have problem getting it registered, could be that the licence Sweetwater sell is only valid for US customers. Read the fine print carefully before purchasing.

What kind of things are you looking for? instruments? FX plugins? What kind of music do you make / want to make? You might get more appropriate guidance if we knew...

Thanks a lot, lingyai! So muchinformation there! I am not sure what I need yet. I guess I would buy some synth and effects. I will go check them out and then read comments and then buy some.
