Wopelka wrote some nice lyrics that made me wrote this song:
Arrow Si je me lève

This is the first time i play the electric guitare. I bought it 4 days ago ! Very Happy
I used the new voxengo Voxformer on the vocal and on the acoustic guitare.

Comments, feedbacks are welcome....

P.S: i've made a mistake and i deleted the voice and electric guitare wave files !!! Crying or Very sad So if i have to change something i must record them again...

Wopelka wrote:

Ta photo toute gondolée
Dans son cadre un peu usé
A perdu bien des couleurs
Et brouillé le jeu des corps
Même le feu de ton ardeur
A fondu dans le décors

Mais tu habites mes rêves
Tu y fais mon bonheur
Et le matin si je me lève
C’est mon erreur

Tes écrits sur parchemin
Tes mots bleus et tes dessins
Ton journal s’est envolé
Dans les cieux de ton départ
Même tes vers auréolés
Ont baissé leurs étendards

Mais tu habites mes rêves
Tu y fais mon bonheur
Et le matin quand je me lève
J’ai froid au cœur

Ton chéri n’est plus le même
Il est seul et grave et blême
Il veut vivre loin des choses
Ne penser qu’à l’infini
Même le jeu des premières causes
Le maintient à fleur d’ennui

Mais tu habites mes rêves
Tu y fais mon bonheur
Et le matin mordant mes lèvres
Enfin je pleure

Embarassed sorry to hear you lost those files; can be quite frustrating.

There's quite the beautiful sound in that electric guitar I must say, but somehow in my ears it seems to not fit with the accoustic somehow. I cannot seem to put my finger on what sounds not right though.

You could still record some backing vocals one octave up Smile or I can hear your wife singing on this one too. Your vocal track seems to keep on one level.

Hmmmm, anyhow I could totally be off here too Confused

Means that I like the track though, and want to hear more Very Happy

Wow! wonderful! Shit! Shocked Embarassed

This is quite JOUISSIF hearing your words sung by someone talented who knows... Very Happy Cool

i love what you did hear. i love the style. i love the arrangement, the sounds (what did you use for the drums, that's quite realistic !).

For improving purposes, you might want to give a more realist feel to the clarinet (attack and release are too harsh maybe?). besides, the clarinet would benefit from a touch of reverb, i guess.

the electric guitar is just fine for me, don't take it out! i think the strange feel noticed by Mystahr might be due to some too off beat playing? i'm not sure. maybe a different EQ setting might give to the guitar more punch and brightness?

the singing is perfect, nothing in this department i could ask for.

thanks your for making a so good use of my humble words. i leave you now, i have to get back to my blank page hoping to write your next hit Very Happy

cheers

WOW - that's a keeper Very Happy We're not worthy....

your music is always sooo french Xavier - it sounds
beautyful and cute and easy and at the same time deeply
melancholic - I haven't got a clue how you do this
Surprised

after the second listening I'm sure that you need
audio-loop-recording within Tracktion as badly as I do Embarassed

there is a timing problem with the electric guitar

I mean primarily the timing of the 'funky'-part (that start's at about 0.50)- it's not that bad actually but I think I hear that some strokes are too late and
the first stroke of the e-guitar (at .031 is a bit too late as well) Wink - but really is not that big a deal...

(might of course be the case that only my ears is too early HiHi )

by the way: the vocal sound is superb - apart from Voxformer, what did you use? What mic, preamp etc.?

Smile

You wanted my opinion; the lyrics are shite! Didn't understand a word of em! HiHi Embarassed

Like the overall sound, nice and clear. A few things I noticed though.

Drums, some bits sound a little bit out of time to me, probably need just a few snare hits nudging about here and there, generally got a nice sound to em. I like the programming, but I'd have gone for a more 'straight' beat in the chorus to differentiate it a bit more, and err, pump up the volume of them a bit more too. Also the ride cymbal could do with being panned to the other side than the hi-hats (unless you would be one of those weird nutters who plays with it in the crash cymbals place Shit! )

Bass- fine, but not loud enough, I'd make it a bit busier in the choruses along with hte drums, perhaps go to 8th notes?!

Electric guitar - cool, is that the Behringer vamp thingy you were going to buy?

Acoustic guitar - Has got a very DI sound, you might be better miking it up as well, and mixing the signals together.

Flute seems a tad loud to me too.

Any apart from all the tecchie bollocks, nice song!

Thanks a lot donkey for the feedbacks...
Good ideas about drums and bass...
Yes electric guitare through V-amp 2.

I tried to mik my acoustic and the sound was awfull !!
I'll try to merge DI and mic.

The clarinet is softer in my last version...

Thanks again.. Very Happy
