I think this has to do with the style and the intention of the artist/producer... I wouldn't call the Eminem song "digital", but the snare sounds - surely intentionally! - like a razor's edge...and there's even too much inharmonic distortion in it, IMO...but maybe this is because of the bad Youtube quality?
