I'm building a new workstation soon and while I'd like to stick with my emu 1616m card, I'll be switching to win7 and I'm worried about their support. Are there any good cards around in the 500 dollar range these days? All I see when looking around are rme and motu and while they're good cards I don't want to spend that much money for features I won't be using unless I have to.

Then spend less on the exact features you want?

RME AIO personally. YMMV

There is a Win7 compatible driver for this device.

EmuPMX_PCDrv_US_2_30_00.exe

This download contains the original drivers and applications found on the E-MU PCIe Digital Audio System series of audio devices installation CD. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.

This download supports the following audio devices only:

E-MU 1616M PCIe Digital Audio System
E-MU 1212M PCIe Digital Audio System
E-MU 0404 PCIe Digital Audio System

E-MU PCIe audio devices listed above

Double-click the downloaded file.

Restart your computer when prompted.
Just try that before replacing the card.

I hadn't seen that card. It looks like just what I may need.

I thought that the emu drivers were still in beta so I will give that a shot first.

Thanks
