I've heard that there is a beta, but do we have any idea when it will be released? Thanks

There is a 5.1 update today but I have not heard something about a Beta. Hmm...

That was the beta OP thought, I presume. |

So hopefully this should be the fix that gets Orange Tree Acoustic & Strawberry back up and working in 5? |

Probably. Download and check it out. (I don't have the time to do that right now). |

Yup--you're in luck as the Kontakt 5 update was just released today. I tested it this morning and verified that it fixes the crashing bug on Mac OS that affected EEG Strawberry and EAG Steel Strings. |

Greg, is it possible that Evolution Steel String could be crashing a Kontakt 5.1 instance running inside of Vienna Ensemble Pro 5? (which is running inside of Digital Performer 8.01?) A lot of layers there, I know, but I can load Evolution Steel String in to the Kontakt instance, but as soon as I try and play a note - either frmo my midi kybd or from Kontakt's piano kybd., beachball and VEPro5 crashes (leaving DP open, though). Any thoughts? BTW, I'm on Mac OS 10.8.2, everything 64bit. |

I still have regular crashes in Kontakt 5.1.0.6066 while using EEG Strawberry. This is inside of both VE Pro and Logic (latest versions), though only in 64bit mode (doesn't happen as often in 32bit mode, ironically). This is a huge issue for me, as I don't have Kontakt 4. Should I be submitting a bug to NI, or is this something you're already aware of? Has anyone else been having this issue? |

I'm in Logic Pro 9.1.8 (64-bit) on OS 10.6.8, and the update fixed the crashing on my system, although apparently some users are still getting crashing on other OS versions or something. There are currently two reports open in the NI bug tracker about this crashing, so hopefully it'll get completely fixed soon! |

Let's wait for v5.2, hopefully the bug should be fixed by then. |

Thanks! Can you direct me to those NI Kontakt bug reports? I couldn't find them and would love to check to see if they apply in my situation. |

They are on NI's JIRa bug tracker. Are you a beta tester? Search for KT5-1459. |

Also, KT5-1151, although I can't personally reproduce these crashes after the K5.1 update. |
