An official Bitwig Studio release on 12-21-12 would even make the Mayans happy
But... surely I'm not betting on that.

Here is quote from Bitwig on Facebook Regarding Push and Bitwig Compatibility :hibidy wrote:I wonder if it will be compatible with push?
"It looks like it is a standard midi controller and as long as there is no encryption/copy protection mechanisms in place it should be easy to do - not only for us but for anyone else as we will publish an open javascript API for controller support!" Source: Bitwig on Facebook
So, it shouldn't be difficult to get Push to work with Bitwig Studio, unless there is some copy protection issue as mentioned in the above quote.
Cheers,
Muziksculp

I think it's a little too soon to quickly jump on Live's wagon without considering that Bitwig could really bring a refreshing DAW to the table. And beside..... Live is not a small investment either.
Live 8 is good enough for me to comfortably wait until the moment of truth.
Wheeeeeen!!!!!

For me the upgrade is too steep.
I keep suite and wait.
It's nice you've got some renewal juice with your music thanks to Live' workflow.
I use the session view exclusively and there is no substitute for it.

The upgrade from Live 9 to Bitwig? How much is it?liquidsound wrote:

That one for sure will be more reasonable than the one Ableton is giving to their own long term customer owning their premium package and giving a better deal (in proportion or not) to the newcomers.standalone wrote:The upgrade from Live 9 to Bitwig? How much is it?liquidsound wrote:

And the newcomers will face the same policy in the future as well.
That's wrong.
Let's see if Bitwig plays a smart move including, hopefully, a better copy protection system.
That alone would be a better deal at equal sale price.
