I'm looking for the source of these samples.

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?j0qipx2mbskrx77 [400KB]

These are Arabic/Muslim Chants that are quoting from a Muslim Prayer.

These samples must have been created sometime in the 90s and no later than 1998.

What library could these maybe be in.

I must find this library! Please help! :help:

Thanks!

Tricky one. I'd be surprised if there are commercially available sample libraries of Islamic prayer recitation. It'd be very sketchy from an Islamic point of view to make such material available for exploitation and reappropriation (AFAIK). As such, my guess would be that these are ripped from a mainstream devotional CD or somesuch.

edit: Noticed that these samples all have inconsistent qualities/sampling rates. A possible clue that these 3 recordings aren't all from the same source?

My first thought upon reading the first post: "I bet this is about Ocarina of Time's Fire Temple chanting." And I was right!

I'm afraid I don't know the origin of the samples, but I did stumble upon a thread over on the OC ReMix message boards about those exact same samples a while ago. Turns out they were used in a number of games other than OoT, so it's almost guaranteed that they come from some sample pack. Still no clue which one, though...

These are ripped from Zelda. The other one (long one) had lower quality but a full version of the vocal from Crusin World.

You can hear it better in this song maybe.

I don't have it, but would Spectrasonics' Vocal Planet be about the right date?

Dont know if its relevant, but here goes:

from http://www.nekozine.co.uk/prodigy/info/sources.html
One love

Vocal sample "One love, one love" is "Arabic Muezzin" sample from the ethnic vocals section of a Zero G sample CD by Time and Space Records
If you search for "Arabic Muezzin" and Zero G, a 9 second mp3 of the sample they used shows up.
