It's very odd, because apart from the audio buffer size, there's nothing else in your edit that should change on different machines. (...of course, the version that I'm running here is probably <ahem> somewhat different from yours, so in fact it could have been fixed indirectly already..) Before I got rudely repurposed into earning a living, that was about where I was drifting towards. ---- Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food! |

I encountered this big reliably every time in my old setup. I don't have that setup anymore and am running windows 8 pro 64 bit if you think Tracktion would work on this rig I will beat the shit out of it to reproduce but it was easy;
1. Turn on loop 2. Drag loop handles out to 4 bars 3. Turn off punch in/out crap 4. Arm FM7 and press record in Tracktion 5. Turn on metronome click 6. Record notes trying damned hard to start at 1.1.1 by ear 7. Think you got it right so stop recording 8. First note you HEARD played is NOT in the MIDI clip Tracktion sends the note! I hear it sent! Just does not record it and it is always mind numbingly annoying the first note! Only one. It is only when loop recording that I had this issue. I'll see if I can dig up my old posts. |

Here is one I found but not mine.

This reminds me of this;
the first note fix and the metronome click not counting in when loop recording are 2 most important imo. The count in loop metronome bug is a killer for me too so make that #4 on my short list. |

Found the following threads:
BR: loop skips first note http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=180299&highlig ht=bug BTW this one contains a tracktion archive of the stuff, and it explains in the thread the plugins used. Is this rewire "first note isn't played" glitch still there? http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=182878&start=0 And in the consolidated thread; 42. First note bug. http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=5202880#520288 0 Tracktion sometimes drops the first note (from a midi clip) with certain plugins. Or something. I dunno, it's been there since T1, look it up. Workaround: Shift your song 1 bar forward. And here is something about the GUI bug (from Valley): http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/archive/raw_material_software/ 2004-04/41773.php Hope this helps! If there is a beta, I'm willing to help. I have windows 8 pro 64 bit, ass loads of experience with computers (over 2 decades), and have been using Tracktion since 2.x days. |

That got fixed in T3, (thank God, I had it BAD with T2). Thanks for the other links. |

I can't reproduce it over here. Even reducing buffer to 64 samples and increasing BPM to over 200 (edit: and reducing size of first note). I'm using Asio4All on a Win 7 x64 lappy. I used to get this bug when using T with an FF400 on XP. I'll see if I can get something going that exhibits the behaviour over here. |

Of course *cough*, I would *cough* be better placed to test *cough* if I had the latest post-Jucequake build to *cough* test in.
