Some more info about producing Are You Shpongled here:
http://www.kuro5hin.org/story/2002/5/20/213047/569 Mentions the Kurzweil K2500: http://www.vintagesynth.com/kurzweil/k2500.php The image matches up reasonably well, although it looks like he may have coloured some buttons or summat. Looking forward to seeing Younger Brother DJ set on the weekend, btw ... assuming I remember and happen to be in the right state in the right place at the right time Peace, Andy. |

Brilliant. If it was £300 I might have grabbed one to try. For ~£800 it's a bit expensive as a toy.http://www.gearslutz.com/board/electronic-music-instruments- electronic-music-production/700296-kurzweil-k2000-classic.ht ml Peace, Andy. ---- "I was wondering if you'd like to try Magic Mushrooms" "Oooh I dont know. Great read. Think I've read bits of that before.
http://www.kuro5hin.org/story/2002/5/20/213047/569 Curious what a Roland SH101 microphone is though, although I do know I want one ZenPunkHippy wrote: Looking forward to seeing Younger Brother DJ set on the weekend, btw ... assuming I remember and happen to be in the right state in the right place at the right time Oh it's Rainbow this weekend.
You have no idea how jealous I am mate Is it a live YB performance? Presumably Benji/Prometheus is doing a show too? ---- "I was wondering if you'd like to try Magic Mushrooms" "Oooh I dont know. The V.A.S.T. engine is what puts me of the Kurzweil keyboards. Immensely powerful but don't really have the time to do it justice, and definitely not a toy Haven't been through the full GS thread, but the k2000R is recommended early on. The rack model is on eBay now for a pretty decent price. More info about the synth here: http://www.vintagesynth.com/kurzweil/k2000.php Peace, Andy. |

Possibly missing a comma ... or circuit bent Quote: Oh it's Rainbow this weekend.
Oh yes it is. Almost cancelled this year, saved at the last minute so we're very lucky. Weather is looking perfect too Quote: Is it a live YB performance? Presumably Benji/Prometheus is doing a show too?
DJ only. Prometheus is playing a solo DJ set later, so I assume it's both of them (well, it wouldn't be YB without eh?). Should be fun to hear trance / techno remixes of the last album (which was excellent if a little different to the usual style). Peace, Andy. |
