Closing synth confirm wth VAZ 2010

I have to keep resetting the confirm on synth close option in VAZ 2010 preferences. Other preferences I have set (oversampling and rotary controls mode) seem to be recalled OK but the confirm synth close option keeps resetting to off. Help
