Quiver 1.1 was just released. It's good! Smile

http://straightarrow.dk/quiver/download/

Changelist:

  • Added new filter types.
  • Added dropdown to control length of envelopes.
  • Added ability to save and load individual module presets.
  • Enabled external modulation of legato mode. (Suggested by Punqtured)
  • Added non-hex values to MIDI assign dropdown.
  • Added mouse over descriptions to module connectors.
  • Renamed Wavetable Oscillator to Paderizer Oscillator.
  • Fixed problem with installer on windows, which would select wrong folder.
  • Fixed bug where visual feedback area would not correctly redraw. (Reported by Ben Paturzo)

Best,
Ralph

Is there an easy way to initialize a patch to create one from scratch?

I just picked one, deleted everything, and saved the empty preset as "Init".
Seems to work well.

Thank you.

It would still be nice if they implemented an initialize setting at some point, but I may get this anyway. It's relatively easy to get good sounds. There is just something a little clunky about the workflow. Not a dealbreaker, though.

Punqtured, that's actually not how it currently works!

Thanks for the writeup, now I have to hurry up and add this feature. 'Cause it's a good idea, and I can see this would be expected behaviour Wink

I really also should add 'Load Default' and 'Reset (init)' buttons. Updating my TODO list.

Hi Ralph,

Any news about Quiver development? It's been almost a year since 1.1 release. I'd love to see it developed further Smile

My top requests:

- A way to quickly bypass/disable and enable modules
- Midi learn feature

Unfortunately, it looks like yet another promising dev who is one and done.

I have really spent a lot of money over the years to support small devs. I am starting to rethink this. I have a bunch of plugins that I no longer use because of a lack of bug fixes or updates.

I hope I am wrong about Quiver. It had a lot of potential.

Sorry, I didn't get notified about the additional replies in here for some reason.

Yes - I am currently working on Quiver, but unfortunately it'll be a while yet before you see an update. I am trying to fix some of the underluying issues with the codebase, so Quiver can eventually be developed into the synth it was meant to be. Unfortunately I can't do this fulltime at the moment, so progress is a little slower than I would like.

As for "one and done", I can totally understand that from your perspective. But there are GOOD reasons for that often being the case. This is not an easy path to take for a developer Smile For me, I've been extremely grateful for everybody who bothered to purchase the app, thanks to all of you! Hang in there Smile

Really glad to hear you're still working on it. No hurry but an AU version would be great.
