I always wondered what gave him the idea.

god i'd forgotten that place. used to be one of the most dismal bus stations i'd ever seen. luckily one of my favourite pubs ever was across the road, the news room. well, until the bastard brewery 'did it up', ie sacked the staff, changed the decor, and ruined it completely.

That has happened to me more times than I'd care to remember.

Although after years away from Portsmouth I went back on one occasion and walked past a pub that had undergone that same process only to see that it was in a state of extreme wear and tear so it kept away the clientelle that the 'upgrade' had intended to attract and the bikers they tried to keep away had returned.

And the good beer had returned!

I've found good homes for all my gear now, from local guitar players to a few guys starting a new country-rock band. :D :D :D

I'm kind of sad to see it all go, but I don't want to move it and it seems like the nerve pan when I play isn't going to Just Go Away(tm). :(

Still, I'm helping out the local music scene! Can't beat that! :P :P

I called Comcast and reduced my cable bill for the next two years by $40/mo. for the same services. :)

Now I'm trying to decide if I want to blow that savings on faster internet. I could get 50Mbps service for the difference, but I'm not really sure if I need that or not. I guess I have time to think about it. It's not like I have slow service right now at up to 30Mbps.

My rack rails, screws, and face plates are in Eagan and they'll be delivered tomorrow! :hyper: :wheee:

I'll pick up my wood tonight. Along with a few other odds and ends to help me make my rack boxes and (PC and audio) monitor stand. :)

I usually need to leave them right out there in the open for people to pick up on 'em. :hihi:
