Yeah even though it looks like an old WWF style title match poster they are great friends (same as all the wrestlers probably). Metal needs/feeds off of all the homoerotic testosterone levels of all the diehard fans. It goes along way to explaining why people who listen to some metal bands get labelled as "fags" on youtube. Heck if I had a £1 for the number of times I've been called a fag on youtube because I simply enjoyed a track by a metal band I'd be loaded/set for life - Anyway if it is good enough for this fine example of a drummer to practice with then its plenty good enough for me for anything:

Although obviously I'm mostly a Toontrack user, I do use other solutions and shock horror combine/layer them up to get the results I'm after/want/need

The only thing studio drummer kills for me is CPU cycles.

Been getting into SSD thought the snare can sound a little machine-gunny if you are not careful. The supplied grooves though are beyond ass for studio drummer and SSD. Luckily I can program a 4/4 beat
Dean, I'm trippin' on the technique dude is using for the kick. The way his feet move while doing it. Anyways, back to f.ing with drum vsts......

hibidy mate if you have The Metal Foundry or any of the Library Of The Extreme volumes by Toontrack then that MIDI is played played by Dirk Verbeuuren (Well definately the 3 Library Of The Extreme MIDI packs, Not 100% sure if it was him that did all TMF grooves).
Tell you what I would love/want/need a Volume II of The Metal Foundry actually with new kits/new drummers. This time head over to make use of mostly american or at least american based Drummers & a great american metal producer. I'd say personally get Erik Rutan in as 'producer' and use his MANA Recording Studios. Then drummers to take a pick from/kit setups from it'd be hard to go wrong with Rutan's own drummer from Hate Eternal Tim Yeung and/or any of these dudes: George Kollias, Flo Mournier, Derek Roddy, Dave Kulcross, Trey Williams, Adam Jarvis, Dave Haley, Kyle Severn, Richard Christy, Sean Reindhart & John Merryman for a few examples, Make a monsterous amount of MIDI grooves from them also. I'd buy it in a heart beat, It could be on the level/detail used for The Roots SDX but bigger, deeper and totally damned awesome
Argh I can but dream hey?
