Very nice. I enjoyed this quite a bit. Thanks to you both.

P.S.-The file I downloaded is tagged "Norwegian Wood".

Brilliant suggestion.
I have often been musically influenced by Cooder and John Hiatt is one of my favourite singers. They made a wonderful album, some years back, as Little Village.

Very nice and with a great "handmade" feel to it. Although, when reading this:

- suggesting that the song had anything to do with "Scarborough Fair", I felt that I should probably turn to an ear specialist ... :o - until I discovered that there are quite a lot of different tunes connected with the theme.

Anyway, very nice song indeed. Now, on to the next one, please! :)

Brilliant stuff, Love the sound of the guitars.
I still say the track Solitary Torment belongs in Tarantino film or some sort of indie film. I find myself singing that chorus at times when I'm pottering about the house. Really love that track. I have just had another couple of blasts of it :)

Funny you should mention that; this afternoon I got an email from Broadjam requesting 'Tarantino' type tracks.
Too bad I only have an 128 kb mp3 of 'Solitary Torment', otherwise I'd have sent it off.

I would still send it. Sounds fine to me. Honestly, if it was me I would just send it. I remember reading an interview with Orbital and they said when they released the track called chime they recorded it to tape because that is all they had. When it got signed the label said we want a DAT tape of it so Orbital just recorded the standard c60 to Dat and sent them that. The rest as they say is history.
Just send it.

This was enjoyed with coffee. What a great start to my morning.

Thanks, that's a great complement. When planning this I had in mind using a steel guitar sound in an ipad app, Thumbjam. When James mentioned dobro, I thought, hmm...but went ahead with a version using the steel sound. While I was pleased with the result, I decided it'd be crazy not to go for the dobro and maintain the kind of organic feel I was reaching for.

@synthmagic - dealine was midnight Feb 22
@andrew.mack - thanks, I read your comment with my coffee too!

Thanks for all the positive comments, guys.
I was really pleased to have been invited into this project.

Fabulous! Needs more of that lovely dobro. :tu:

Sounds like you're about ready for a Band cover.

Sorry to bump this, but with the Waves sale of last weekend I was anxious to use what I'd bought. As usual, I had no new material so I turned to this. The plugins were from Kramer Tape, Tubes and Transistors. I think there's a huge difference, and I did not mess with the levels at all.

That is a helluva difference. Not only in the levels, but also in the "fullness" of the final sound. Nice to hear this song again too.

WOW,
that is some difference.
Clarity and depth are considerable.
You need to make some new music now to justify the cost  8)

Thanks for reviving this one.
