Here, for instance.
Also, you might want to study techniques like voicings, block harmonizing/thickened line etc. Google "arranging for big band". Buy some big band transcriptions and/or arrangements |

thanks. There's no such thing. Chord progressions are attached to completed songs which are often reharmonized. If you just want voicings for big band, try this book by William Russo: http://www.amazon.com/Composing-Jazz-Orchestra-William-Russo /dp/0226732096/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1365482655&sr=8-1&keyw ords=william+russo ---- Signature blocked until 5 posts made |

Band in a box
Select style - (pretty much anything from the jazz era) load demo song (they are usually standard 11-V-1 varieites) If it has a melody you can then use one of several choices for harmony based on various artists. Send harmony to melody channel. Much of the arrangement technique is based on reharmonization of the melody based on Chord Blocks, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-CI9FABTw4 ---- Oh no, that's next door. It's being-hit-on-the-head lessons in here. |
