Postby stratodyne; Thu Feb 07, 2013 5:56 pm Hello from new Shreddage 2 user

Just wanted to say Hello to everyone here on the forums!

I just purchased Shreddage 2 today, and I'm sure I'll have a plethora of questions, as it is my first experience with both a guitar VST and Kontakt player.

Can anybody offer any beginner tips to help me hit the ground running?

Hey there, thanks for your purchase! I've just stickied a new [TUTORIAL] thread where expert user audiosupernova describes some of the techniques he uses to create really full, phat guitar & drum sounds. I would also recommend you check out some of my own tutorial videos which should hopefully give you some inspiration and ideas.

Sequencing Tips (Rhythm): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpbTawnJ-Uw - This was for the original Shreddage, but it still applies here.

Double-tracking & tone crafting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03fbxV8X-As&t=3m04s - again recorded for the original Shreddage, but the same concepts apply!

Thanks Zircon. I've been writing a ton of new music since I picked up this plugin. It has given me new creative super powers :D
