Spectral morphing between two sounds

Hi!

Since SpectrumWorx already has implemented some types of morphing like convolution and many other weird audio blending modules in the Combine bank, would it be possible to have a very simple but powerful morphing effect/module to truly morph from one sound (the one on the audio track) to another (the one stored in the external audio buffer)? Literally being able to morph from let's say a water sound to a barking dog, for example... ?

True (and good) spectral morphing is still pretty rare in the plugin world and with SpectrumWorx's audio strengths, having a real spectral morphing effect would simply be... Shit! Shocked

Thanks!

Thanks Neon. May I say that the idea is great, but - hard to do. Good morphing algos are rare as you say, and that's for reason. Takes time to research and implement. Not sure a top class morphing will make it into SW, but... you never know how lucky we could get! Wink

Yep, I'm totally aware of the challenge. Anyhow, I wanted to mention it as I really love SpectrumWorx and seeing a morphing effect into it would simply be beyond fantastic.

Keep up the good work anyway guys! Very Happy

We even had a few "morphing" algos in testing, but they never made it into release, just didn't sound right.

Might look into them again. Wink

Neon, thanks for you constant support!

I can only add that finding and implementing that "extra smart&transparent" cross-fade is somewhat of a dream for me as an amateur DJ...so expect extra effort from me if/when we get to tinkering this gem Wink
