While discussing some of the most vomit inducing songs of all time Paul Anka's "Having My Baby" naturally came up..... While I have to admit Mr. Anka's version is gut wrenching I have to say that The Coolies 1986 version of the tune was pretty damn funny.....check out the spoken word interlude in the middle..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWBPe7vUPxk ---- "Transition to Amplitude Death in Coupled System with Small Number of Nonlinear Oscillators" - Chen Hai-Ling www.myspace.com/cristofe |

I think the ones that top polls of worst song are often good choices - Lady in Red, We Build this City on Rock and Roll, etc. |

RICHARD HARRIS - MACARTHUR PARK!
I hate that song even to this day. "Someone left the cake out in the rain and I couldn't take it cause it took so long to bake it and I'll never have that recipe again oh no! I hate that song so deeply and emotionally with all the soul of my being. |

I hate that song very deep from my heart... There is a version from Rammstein which is quite cool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCcnOr69Qto ---- "Atmospheric Transients" for PPG Wave 3.V "Analog vs Digital" for Blofeld http://soundcloud.com/ingoweidner Last edited by Ingonator on Mon Feb 25, 2013 12:29 pm; edited 1 time in total |

...saw this back in the 80s on Formel Eins (all fellow Krauts over the age of 35 know what I'm talking about) and have loathed it ever since. Loathed it, that is, until I learned that it was really a Serge Gainsbourg song, which of course makes it cool as hell. Still loathe it, though. |

Had a hard time with this one when it came. Did hate it back then, to my surprise I could listen to it now with some sense of nostalgia...

So, what do I win? This one has my vote for now. It probably made money, too. ---- "The Law speaks too softly to be heard amid the din of arms." -- Gaius Marius {Roman consul, soldier} |

If I say which song is the worst of all time, I'll have to move the thread to HPC. So I won't say. |
