The one on the buzz forum, sorry bout that :(

This is GREAT! :wheee: I just made it work in Studio One Producer edition. Works flawlessly, from what I can tell by the first tests. I was looking for a solution like this for ages, short of upgrading SO.

Note that it seems to only load WMV videos (which is perfectly OK, by the way). I crashed when trying to load a FLV. QuickTime and MP4 don't load. So if you have to work from these formats, you'll have to convert the video first. Tip: use SUPER Converter for this, it's free, does the job as good as any, if not better, and can be found at http://www.erightsoft.net/SUPER.html
(finding the download link is a bit tricky, scroll down for it, and look carefully)

You can enlarge or reduce the video window 2x, using a right-click on the window.

Honestly, if you wouldn't have posted the first link, I would still be searching for how to make it work. That user tip is essential:
Just load the mediavst.dll to your host program as a VST instrument, and place a single C4 note at the beginning of the timeline to start to play the video. Right click the VST window to open a video file to play.

It works like a charm, but it puts a total of 38 dlls in my VST folder, so they all show up in my VST list :?
You needn't end up with all those in your VST folder. This is one of those plug ins where you copy the main folder(s) somewhere into your "Programs" folder (x86 and/or x64), then only copy mediavst.dll (from the x86 or x64 folder) into your VST folder. That's all 8)

Glad it worked out okay.

Is this the link to the video converter?

As the list is one of the most complicated I have come across :-)

Yep, it is (it leads to the same address as the link I gave). Tricky huh... but it's there ;) Start by scrolling to the bottom of the page.

It also loads AVI videos, as I've been able to check now. This is very useful as it's a common video editor output format.

At the bottom here is the link, I think.
I don't know now, this type of webpage is enough to drive you to round the frigging bend :D

Aghh, this one takes you back to the beginning as well, krap me this is like some sort of mental puzzle for freeware user's :D

I don't like posting links like the one above, but I think this is it.

That's it, I think :D

Any new options in 2015?

Wait a minute. I could rewire FL Studio PE into Sonar X3. That just may fit my needs.
