Hello.

I'm designer and musician. And I like to use VST plugins and instruments. I like styles of knobs and sliders in many of them. And one day I wanted to try to make the such kind of set. Now I have one huge kit (not only for audio software, it may be helpful for any kind of design) and 5 kits for creating audio apps. Now I plan to make 3 next kits (transparent, brass and dark plastic) and create some additions (like scales for knobs, some new styles of knobs and switches etc.)

Please take a look at my kits.

I need your opinion. Is this usable and helpful? What is need to add or remove or change?
Thanks.

Looks nice so far, but the current format is a fancy picture at best. It needs HEAVY editing for the use in a *real* application. This usually starts with the requirement for bitmap-strips and ends with tedious re-construction via low level drawing methods.

The typical web approach of delivering a psd with "up/over/down" states doesn't work with knobs, faders, LEDs, meters, ect. 95% of the graphical work is not about the basic design/style decisions.

There's huge demand for talented UI designers, and you are definitely talented. But the generic "50 web templates for 30$" approach isn't really suited for the task.

IMHO it's a much better idea both to focus specific projects instead. Also, have a look at knobman! Check out how VSTGUI and/or JUCE useto draw their UIs.

Thnaks. I will check Knobman and JUCE.
But of course I not only offer dead templates. I'm ready to produce any kind of compliant interfaces, or just siply slice any of single kob or switch into transparent PNG asstes.

Hi, I quite like your designs. They're visually very appealing. Part of the attraction in your design is the space, I think: the proportions make give it an elegant look. For tweaky interfaces (I'm thinking some 200 parameters) they're too large, though. But if I ever get anywhere with my current project (nothing commercial), I'll certainly think of your designs.

Now I'm working with next UI kit - it will be transparent and may fit on any background.
This kit will be universal for any purpose, but will contain some useful items for audio software design: sliders, knobs, switches etc.

If you have any suggestions or wishes please tell me, and I'll include it in this kit.

New Knóbz Vol.6 Transparent is now available!

Knóbz Vol.6 contains particles of GUI for applications and web sites. This kit made as full vector Photoshop layers merged into good named layer groups. There’re both three versions: for regular desktop apps (72 dpi) and for Retina/HDPI apps (@2x and @3x size).
Inside kit: transparent knobs, sliders, switches, bars and other useful controls which may fit on ANY backgrounds or textures. Best for audio software and sound widgets.

Do the knobs, sliders and such have premade "frames strips" or are there guides as to how to create any number of frames for animating them, e.g. "knobman" style?

This is a 5 frame strip:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/g200k ... sample.png

In the strip the knob is "duplicated" as many frames as it needs to cover its parameter range. The background should be transparent in a .png. The audio plug-in control works by sweeping through the strip, when the user drags the control up/down.

But one often decides the frame number depending on needs.

I might use some of these for upcoming plug-ins.

I'm pretty good at making interfaces and I'll make a few 100. I'm trying to get some site traffic; so it is worth a shot as long as people are kind enough to leave a like and such.

What would people prefer? psd, or ai, eps? I personally like the psd if they are oversized. Because c++ will automatically interlace in most instances. Please let Me know,
