Here's another one:

One instance of Diva, default patch. Some simple notes. No automation of anything.

One instance of B2. Nothing else.

B2 preset is called "Dynamic Magic Dust". It will go into an creative FX expansion I am making. It uses both engines, Attitude in both (adding the distortion and noise), Dynamics in both (that is what gives the feeling that something is automated), HUGE sizes, and a few other tricks...

not exctly the same effect dry:

James Cameron, where are you? :D

As much as I love B2 there is one thing about it I don't understand: Why does it eat so much CPU even when a project is not running/standing still - this is in Logic 9.1.8 on (on all my machines running either OSX 10.6.8 or 10.8.3)??
Usually in Logic plugs only use CPU when a signal is sent through them, but not with B2.

Hi
I tried that, but you know that when you assign something to B2 it creates noise on very low level, and it gives to B2 signal to run. It works actually when something is assigned to it. When you insert B2 on empty channel it doesn't takes any CPU resources, or when you close bus send to it.

My interface have noise floor at around -90 db.

a little birdie told me B2 for all verbs, and distortion on bass...

Hi Andrew,

Samplitude Pro X don't load 2C-B2.dll (B2 Update v171)
After 184 downloaded instruction, same issue ....

Best Regards

Thanks, we'll look into it. Anyone else have Samplitude Pro X? Can you confirm? (We don't have it here in-house.)

BTW, the excellent German Magazine Beat has awarded B2 an editors choice award this month, and given it a 6/6 star report card. Thanks Beat!

I found this ; http://www.maclife.de/beat/software/eff ... dio-breeze

I found Breeze to have review with 6 stars and "Zehr Gut" what means Very Good. But I couldn't find B2 still.

Maybe it is on printed issue?

Yes, it is the current shipping month I believe, yes 04/2013. I have a PDF, but I don't think I am supposed to post it at least until a few months after the print version is done selling...

You guys are KILLING me with the Aether wait for 64bit. Seeing all these examples go up with nice 2caudio reverb, I want my Aether back!

To the best of my knowledge (see above/previous) we are now measuring in days until it is ready. You guys will be the first to know.

A quick question:

Is build 184 (2C_B2_1_1_0_b184_Win.zip) still officially a "beta"?

Is this pretty safe to install now? Or should I wait for something "official" that is post 1.1.0b?

Thanks ;-)

Cool.

Also, I re-downloaded the demo for B2 and did not see any of the improvements I've read about lately with the browser and search functions (on V.I. control). Is it not officially updated yet?

The Demo version is build 171. There was a build 184 that was made available to customers earlier in this thread. That is the version that has the new browser features. Internally we have a build 190. This has a few extra audio/DSP features/changes. We may sneak one or two other little things into it before the final release.

Final grande finale will come with fireworks and rainbows when we release Aether, B2, and Breeze together in all 64-bit formats and AAX. :D We will likely have two B2 preset expansions available at the same time. Then we are officially done with this update cycle.

It's VERY safe. No reported issues. Tons of people using it.

The final "official" release will include AAX support, and a few new features/enhancements such as hugely increase max size, increased mod rate range, maybe a few extra contour modes, maybe a couple other things. Basically things that I find I would like to use as I am making one of the preset expansions...

Post

Thanks Andrew - I'll whack it on then, and wait here (on this thread) for news of the "official" release ;-)
