I would really like a definitive answer on this and from someone who uses it in this fashion. Hopefully within the next few hours as 50% is a huge saving.

I decided after my other topic i'd rather have a delay i can do the ducking all within the unit itself, and i KNOW mfm can do it but i can't look at the interface, i have tried so many times, and be able to know what know is where as my eyes can't focus on something with that much going on. the psp 85 is too expensive IMO although is very simple in comparison, but the FF might be the sweet spot.

Thanks so much in advance.

You can modulate the dry/wet level for ducking.

Manual here if you want to check it out:

I did put the search "duck" in the manual and no hits. Thanks VERY much both of you for the fast replies, but if I understand correctly what bill is saying, that this is done by effectively automating the dry/wet with a modulator, i can do that in my host and would not spend the money, as i find timeless difficult to use otherwise.

Also watched the BW tutorial a couple of times and i didn't really click with it or quite get if he was talking about simple ducking at any point.

The way i understand ducking, and what i want, is that the delay plays back when the signal stops, rather than continuously which could muddy up the mix.

yes?

No mate, Dan does it without host modulation.
He is a genius though.
let me see if I can find it.

That is correct. He demonstrates that around 1:46 in the "Timeless 2 Tips & Ticks Part 1" video on their website using an envelop generator nothing host specific.

ok checking the DW again right now. cheers.. brb

You route the envelope follower to the wet level, so when there's a dry signal present the wet level is silent, then as soon as the dry signal goes away the wet comes back in - ducking delay.
