I would not hold my breath. A standalone application version of an instrument (esp. cross platform) is a bit of a nightmare to build and maintain, and given the resources available, its nothing I can venture into.

If you want a DAW-less solution, I suggest you checkout the excellent Savihost. It wraps any VST as a standalone.
