I can't for the life of me figure out this (reggae) bass sound

How to make that sound...

I've been trying for 3 days and I can't quite get it. I thought it was a sub layered with a square wave through a low pass filter with a steep decay no sustain but I can't seem to nail it. The sound starts at 7 secs in the start of this video.

I'm using Massive. There's unlimited videos on dubstep bass on Youtube so it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I also have Alchemy and DuneCM

To me it just sounds like a low-passed square with a slight fast-decay envelope on the cutoff.

Yeah that's my thought too. Everytime I try with Massive I get more of a GRRR sawish sound and not the DUNK sound I'm looking for.

Did you try something like this?

Sounds pretty close to me as long as we're not splitting hairs. I added some distortion and eq.

I gave it a quick shot.

original track panned slightly left, bass patch (Massive) slightly right.

Not perfect but maybe close enough for some finetune-tweaking ?
If so, I can upload the patch.

Love this track btw.

First off, thanks everyone for the help.

I did try that at first. I've gotten a bit closer with lowering the attack levels on Filter and Intensity.

Sounds exact to me. I'd like to take a look at your patch if you would upload it. Thanks!

Here you go.
v1 is the patch heard in the mp3 above, v2 is a bit differently tweaked.
